Foreign Projects (Neighbouring States)
We support the following organisations as part of our foreign (neighbouring) states social investment program
Namibia: Cancer Association – Reach for Recovery
We are the main sponsor of the Reach for Recovery programme which supports the prevention and ongoing support of Breast Cancer. Our commitment covers the printing of all information material as well as the training of caregivers for the 2009/2010 financial year. We have donated R35 000 to Cancer’s Reach for Recovery Programme as well as washing machines.
Namibia: SOS Children's Villages
We have committed to assisting the villages in Windhoek and Tsumeb with merchandise items to the value of R80 000.
Botswana: SOS Children's Villages
We have committed to support the two existing villages in Gaborone and Francistown. We have donated 16 televisions to the homes in Francistown and will also be donating furniture to the new homes in the Serowe village when the building has been completed. We have donated an amount of R20 000 to the general day to day running costs of the Children’s Villages in Gaborone, Francistown and the new Serowe Village to a total donation value of R80 000.
Swaziland: SOS Children's Villages
We continue to support the Children’s Village and Youth Homes in Mbabane and have donated merchandise to the value of R90 000.
Lesotho: SOS Children's Villages
Various merchandise items have been donated to the Children’s Villages in Maseru to the value of R90 000.
